The area of the circle is given by \(\pi r^{2}\), where \(r\) is the radius of the circle. By dividing the circle into equal circle sectors and subdividing them into smaller and smaller angles and consequently in area, to infinity, we can group them in order to obtain a rectangle of length \(\pi r\) and width \(r\). The area of the rectangle is given by the product of the length by the width, thereby obtaining the value \(\pi r^{2}\).
