Penrose triangle

The Penrose triangle is an impossible object. Despite its name, it was first created by the Swedish artist Oscar Reutersvärd in \(1934\). However, it was the British mathematician Roger Penrose  who conceived it independently and popularized it in the \(1950\)s, describing it as "impossibility in its purest form."

In the animated GIF above we can see a ball go through on the Penrose triangle. The continued movement of the ball on the triangle is also impossible, since a 3D representation of the object must have a break, which is not only visible from a certain angle.
