The radian is the standard unit of angular measure. The other unit, the degree, is not a SI unit. We can convert radians into degrees knowing that \(1\) rad \(= \frac{180ยบ}{\pi}\). One radian is the angle subtended at the centre of a circle by an arc that is equal in length to the radius of the circle.
